Shopper’s Protection Insurance gives you the security that you could meet your Gem Visa monthly repayments if you were unable to work due to illness, injury or involuntary unemployment.

It also provides cover against loss or damage for the things you buy, even against certain price reductions.

Price Protection

Don’t miss out on a sale. If you buy something with your Gem Visa and you see it’s dropped in price at the same retailer anytime in the first 6 months after you bought it, we’ll pay the difference in price back to your account. So the more you claim the more you can save.*

Merchandise Protection

Cover the thing you buy on your card, and if it's lost, stolen or damaged within 6 months of the purchases, we'll pay the repair or replacement costs to your account.*

Cover for your account

Stolen Card Protection

Claim $200 to your account if your Gem Visa card is stolen – just for the inconvenience.*

Balance benefit

If you lose your job unexpectedly, or can't work due to sickness or injury, we'll pay the balance of your account up to $5,000.*

Life benefit

If you were to pass away we’ll pay the balance owing at the date of your death – up to $20,000.*

What’s the cost?

Enjoy the benefits of Shopper's protection for 1% of your monthly closing balance, up to a maximum of $50 a month. That's it, you'll never pay more than that. It’s automatically debited to your card account and you'll see the premium on your statement.
