    Use Fitbit Pay to purchase items in any store that accepts contactless payments.

  • How do I use the Fitbit Pay wallet?

    The Wallet section of the Fitbit app is where you add and remove payment cards for Fitbit Pay, edit a payment method, and review recent purchases. If you lose your watch, you can also suspend the cards on it for added security.

    To open the Wallet, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon, then your device image and click the Wallet tile.

  • How do I set up Fitbit Pay?

    To start, add your Gem Visa card to the Wallet section of the Fitbit app:

    1. With your watch nearby, from the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon and then your device image.
    2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your Gem Visa card. If you’re setting up Fitbit Pay for the first time, you’ll be prompted to set a 4-digit PIN code for your device (if you haven’t already done so). Note that you also need to have Touch ID or a PIN code turned on for your smart device.
    4. After you’ve added a card, follow the on-screen instructions to turn on notifications for your smart device (if you haven’t already done so) to complete the setup.
  • How do I make a payment with Fitbit Pay?

    1. When you’re ready to pay, press and hold the left button on your watch for 2 seconds.
    2. If prompted, enter your 4-digit watch PIN code. Your card appears on the screen.
    3. Hold your watch near the payment terminal.
    4. If the purchase amount exceeds $100 AU, follow the instructions on the payment terminal. If prompted for a PIN code, enter the PIN code for your card (not your watch).
    5. When the payment succeeds, your watch vibrates and you’ll see a confirmation on the screen.
    6. If the payment terminal doesn’t recognize Fitbit Pay, make sure the watch face is near the reader and that the cashier knows you’re using a contactless payment.
  • How often do I need to enter my Fitbit PIN code to use Fitbit Pay?

    When you set up Fitbit Pay, you’re prompted to set a personal 4-digit PIN code. Every 24 hours, or the first time after putting the watch back on your wrist after taking it off you will be required to enter the four-digit pin.

  • Do I need to have my smart device nearby to use Fitbit Pay?

    You don’t need to have your smart device nearby to use Fitbit Pay. After you set up Fitbit Pay, you can make payments from your watch and leave your smart device at home.

  • Can I use Fitbit Pay at contactless enabled ATM’s?

    No, Fitbit Pay does not currently work at contactless enabled ATM’s.

Managing my card in Fitbit Pay

  • Can I add more than one card to Fitbit Pay?

    Yes, Fitbit Pay will allow you to add up to six cards to the Wallet app on each of your Fitbit devices.

  • How do I remove or delete a card from Fitbit Pay?

    To remove or delete a card:

    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon and then your device image.
    2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
    3. Find the card you want to delete.
    4. Tap or click Remove Card. The card is removed from Fitbit Pay and can no longer be used to make payments with your watch.
    5. Sync your watch to remove the card image from your screen.
  • How do I suspend a card?

    To suspend a card:

    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon and then your device image.
    2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
    3. Find the card you want to suspend.
    4. Tap or click Suspend Card. The card is suspended on your watch and can no longer be used to make payments.

    To unsuspend your card, repeat the steps above and then tap or click Unsuspend Card.

  • Do I have to have my paired smart device to manage my account?

    Please note that you can always log onto fitbit.com to manage your account.

  • Where can I see a list of transactions made with Fitbit Pay?

    View your three most recent transactions made with Fitbit Pay in the Wallet section of the Fitbit app, or review all of your Fitbit Pay transactions on your credit card statements.

    To view your recent transactions in the Fitbit app:

    1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon and then your device image.
    2. Tap or click the Wallet tile.
    3. Find the card you added to your watch and then scroll down to see your 3 most recent transactions.
  • Why was my Fitbit Pay transaction declined?

    If your payment was declined, contact Gem Visa.

  • Is Fitbit Pay secure?

    Fitbit Pay includes many security features. Fitbit Pay uses an industry-standard tokenization platform to ensure your card information is never revealed or shared with merchants or with Fitbit. Fitbit Pay also requires you to use a personal 4-digit device PIN code for an added layer of protection.

  • I have lost/misplaced my watch – what should I do?

    If you lose or misplace your watch, you should immediately remove or suspend the card you added to the device using the Wallet section of the Fitbit app. You can still make payments using the physical credit card.

    Keep in mind that no one can use your watch to make a payment without first entering your personal 4-digit device PIN code.

  • I forgot the pin code for my watch – how do I reset it?

  • I entered my pin code incorrectly – how do I unlock my watch with my smart device?
